MFCA / LITTLE TUGBOATS Curriculum
MFCA and the Little Tugboats offer two seperate curricula for our students. The Little Tugboats Pre-K students are taught under the Texas School Ready! project. Students K-12 are instructed under the Accelerated Chrisitan Education program.
On the surface, most schools look alike—buildings, personnel, curriculum, and budgets. The A.C.E. program is different. For over 40 years, it has been the trendsetter in Biblical educational reform. Its philosophy is built on basic principles of the Word of God. Students are taught to see life from God’s point of view, to take responsibility for their own learning, and to walk in Godly wisdom and character. Accelerated Christian Education is not just a publisher but a comprehensive Bible-based program that serves both the campus-based school and the homeschool.
Best practices in early childhood education recommend age appropriate materials be used for hands-on instruction and cognitive development. In the Texas School Ready! project, teachers incorporate high-quality, developmentally appropriate, state-adopted curriculum for whole and small group instruction to enhance learning for young children.
